Banner Tribute for a world class flier!
Ray Bethell’s passion and love for the sport of kiting has been an inspirational to many worldwide. This tribute began as a grass roots movement to create banners in homage to Ray to be displayed at WSKIF 2013. Beautiful and special flags and banners and surprises for a true gentleman will fill the beach on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Ray’s designated field is just west of Field A. These tributes will be displayed on the west side of Field A.
Be sure and visit the World Kite Museum (303 Sid Snyder Dr. and see the Ray Bethell exhibit.
Our first guest flyer, Cliff Quinn, featured below!
Cliff Quinn became interested in kiting in 1992. He quickly segued into kite making. Initially his wife, Joyce, would sew and he would do the layout and fabric cutting. He enjoys judging as much as entering his kits in competitions. He is retired and continues to create wonderful kites for us to enjoy.
