Come join us for a fun weekend of kite making at the World Kite Museum. Rod Beamguard of Vancouver, WA, and Carveth Kramer of Taos, NM, will guide participants through the steps necessary to create their own unique kite, John Freeman’s Bird on The Wire. The late John Freeman loved teaching others and was a master at designing unusual kites. This kite, 8 feet tall by 8 feet wide, was the last of his projects. The kite has been assigned to a commercial manufacturer and is currently undergoing work for possible commercial production and will never be taught again in a classroom setting. Participants will need to bring a sewing machine and normal sewing supplies. A large cutting mat will be helpful (3′ x 5′ or 4′ x 8′). Course fees will include alkl fittings, rods, lines, reinforcements, and much needed humor. Class members will supply their own fabric. Please join us for a potluck on Saturday night.

This is your last chance to build this beautiful and unique kite and possibly the last of this series of workshops to be held at the museum! Register with Rod today!
